Job Description

Grade/ Job Title : VP – Process Quality.

Location : Bank's Head Office, Mumbai

Brief Background of department:


Process Quality department initiates and anchors all projects which impact business processes and process quality improvements across all business functions for entire Bank .

The broad areas of responsibility for said role are as under :

A) Business Process Management  : All process management initiatives across all departments of Bank . The person would need to work with all businesses very closely and identify business problems/process deficiencies/ opportunities & lay down best in industry practices and processes so that overall improvement in business functioning takes place resulting in productivity increase and adoption of best in class practices. This would involve, coordinating and working closely with stake holders for driving high impact projects, review progress with relevant stake holders to ensure timely delivery and drive process improvement culture. Process Simplification and Centralisation of relevant processes are also key work areas under Business Process management.

B) Process Innovation

 Innovation in all existing processes and exploring and implementing innovative ways and means of doing any existing/new activity rests with Process quality team . The said person shall be responsible for driving the entire innovation drive and use of various innovative methods and ideas to resolve problems to stake holder satisfaction. The role also is similar to an Internal Consultant suggesting innovative ways to do activities and driving high impact change management projects across the organization

C) Change Management Committee / Product Management Committee

The Bank has  Change Management and Product Management Committee which are housed in Process Quality department. Any launch of any Products or Changes in any processes within the Bank across all businesses have to be validated and approved by the said CMC / PMC. PQ team plays a critical role in examining all such proposals, suggesting best practices available in industry including information technology platforms etc for doing the said activity and ensuring that all such changes which are approved are documented and implemented within agreed time lines.

D) Process Automation / Driving Improvements & Innovation  using Information Technology

Key High Impact  technology initiatives are anchored by the Process Quality team. Example - Deployment of organisation wide Operational CRM, Sales Force Automation System, Business Process Management System, Data Warehouse Project.  The job involves working closely with Business and  IT team to develop IT platform which support new business initiatives, act as a catalyst in critical transformational projects with use of quality improvement tools and Information technology as key enabler.

Reporting Authority : Senior Vice President & Head -  Process Quality .

Professional Experience desired:Strong domain expertise across Retail/ Corporate Bank.

Should have handled independently and experienced high impact transformation/ process improvement projects across organisation .Strategic thinking with visionary thought processes and a passion to bring in excellence in processes with Good business acumen, analytical skills are critical competences required for this position .
